December 6, 2009 - Arva / Uplands Toy and Food Drive

Annual event to help those in need at this festive time of year.  The kids came to see Santa while the Optimisits went  door to door to collect your contributions for re-distribution to those in less fortunate circumstances.

June 6, 2009 - Thanks for coming on out to Weldon Park and enjoying a hearty breakfast with your friends and neighbours as the Arva Optimists cooked up a whopping helping of sausages, eggs and all that good stuff that tastes so good in the open air!  We had entertainment by the "Big 8" and a presentation by the National Service Dogs of Canada, invaluable assets in helping children and youth with afflictions such as autism.  The Arva Fire Department was also on hand with advice and goodies to keep your family safe.  With a little luck, you have even seen Sparky the mascot!!

May 9, 2009 - Your local Optimists handled the BBQ at the Huron Tractor Open House at their Hyde Park Road location.

Thanks to all who turned out and for your kind donations!
